The tourist and recreation special economic zone “Baikal Gate” was created by the Government Decree No. 27 of the Russian Federation dated February 3, 2007. Total area of the zone is 763 ha.

The SEZ is situated on the southern coast of the Lake Baikal in Baykalsk town of Slyudyansky District of Irkutsk Oblast and has the unique conditions for tourism industry development, travelling and leisure. Nowadays this territory is known as a mountain ski centre and its huge tourist potential capacity is far from being exhausted. There are opportunities for the round-the-year stay for tourists from different regions of Russia and abroad.

Company goals:

• attraction of investors;

• construction of infrastructural facilities of the SEZ;

• operation of civil engineering, transport and other facilities of infrastructure of the SEZ.
